๐ŸฅŠ Boxing Lesson 4 ๐ŸฅŠ

Malo e lelei and welcome back to my blog!! Today room 9 had our 4th session of boxing. For the first half of our lesson Pax taught us how to step to the left and to the right while in our wall position. It was kind of hard but I kind of got the hang of it. She then taught 4 different combos that include all the skills we learnt. The 1st combo was Jab, cross, hook and uppercut. Me and my two buddies had a lot of fun, we made a few mistakes but those just made us laugh even more. The 2nd combo she taught was jab, jab, cross, hook and uppercut. The 3rd and 4th combo were also really fun. After all me and buddies had a really good time, Annyeong!

How to calculate the Mean, Median, Mode and Range.

Malo e lelei, Kia ora and greetings to you all, Today's blog post is about how to calculate the mean, median and mode.

Mean : To calculate the Mean you have to add all the number together then divide it by the amount of numbers.

E.g

7, 19, 22, 12, 15

7 + 19 +22 + 12 + 15 = 75
75 divided by 5 = 15

Median : To calculate the Median you have to put the numbers to smallest to biggest and the number that's in the middle is the median and if there's two number in the middle then you add them together the divide it by 2.

E.g

4, 17, 42, 5, 12, 57

4, 5, 12, 17, 42, 57

12 + 17 = 29
29 divided by 2 = 14.5

Mode : If the number is repeated more then once then that's the mode but if there's no number that repeats then there's no mode.

E.g

5, 5, 7, 9, 11, 10

The mode is 5!!

Range : To get the Range you have to put the numbers to highest to lowest or lowest to highest.

E.g

5, 13, 4, 32, 105, 54, 27

105 = 4 ( So the Range is 105 to 4)

I really hope that this help you learn how to Calculate the Mean, median, mode and Range and I hope you enjoyed today's blog post. Goodbye and feel free to give me feedback om my work.

Fine - Maths Number in context

Malo e lelei, Kia orana and greetings you all, Today's blog post is about Maths. Today in maths my class and I learned about Number in context. My Teacher Mr J give the whole class a problem to solve, So here it is:

Q1) At our school, there are:

59 Y4’s,
38 Y5’s,
54 Y6’s,
27 Y7’s and
38 y8’s.

Round each year level to the nearest 10 to cater for those who leave or for new enrolments.

1: 59 - 60  60/220 x 100/1 = 6000/220 = 27,27%
2: 38 - 40    40/220 x 100/1 = 4000/220  = 18,18%

3: 54 - 50     50/220 x 100/1 = 5000/220 = 22,72%
4: 27 - 30      30/220 x 100/1 = 3000/220 = 13,63%d

5: 38 - 40   40/220 x 100/1 = 4000/220 = 18,18%
27,27 + 18,18 + 22,72 + 13,63 + 18,18 = 99,98

Q2)

At Tamaki Primary there are 25 staff members. 20% make up the Senior Leadership Team, 0.32 make up the Academic Team and 48% are staff members.

How many SLT, Academic Staff and other staff members are there?

25 Teachers
20% = Senior Leadership team = 5 people  / 20x25÷100=5
32% = Academic Team  = 8 People  / 32x25÷100=8
48% = Staff members = 12 People / 48x25÷100=12

Hope you enjoy reading my blog. See you next time : )
