TECHNOLOGY CHALLENGE.

“ Okey get into three or

four groups “ said Mr roy.

The people I had in my groups was Savannah

and christine the whole team had to make a

flag. Our flag was decorator with tongan

things we called it the tongan flag. When

we were done making our flag we had to make

a flag poles with a tape, string, ruler, newspaper

and scissors. So we had to find how to make our

flag poles Stand together I very very enjoy this

and our teacher Mr roy said to us “you had did great.”

Auckland Museum.

Auckland Museum

Yesterday we went to the Auckland
Museum. First we went on the bus
to go on the trip. When we got there
we sat down to eat our morning tea.
When we were finished  eating we
explored the origins room with my
class. After exploring the origins
room we got Split up in group and
explored more about the museum.

My group and I explored the volcanoes
and when we went inside this house
I was shaking and scared for What's
gonna Happen. There was this big
screen that showed lots of houses
and  a Road, cars and the sky, a
big volcano which was far away.
Next the Tv went on after 3 minutes.

It was talk about what is going on.
There is a volcano underwater in
Rangitoto Island at Auckland.
In fact people is getting ready for
the volcano to explode. And Wilder
 the TV was on a talk about how
people were feel the TV turned
off and on and on, the house was
shaking and where were lots of
smoke coming out of the volcano
and the lights were turn off and on
and I was Screaming and scared
at the same time.

After the Volcano room  my
group and I walked to the
Butterflies room and it was
fun we cruel  inside this things
that looked like a caterpillar and
there was a TV that was  talk all
about butterflies and we explored
the butterflies room for a little bit.
While we were inside the butterfly
room we were coloring  a butterfly
and make them come to life and
I like the butterfly room it was fun
and cool. My Favourite place to
be at the Museum is the room that
 have all culture things. It’s is my
favourite room because I can learn
more about my culture and I could
learn about other people's culture.

Tongan celebration.

Tongan Language Week

Last week was Tongan language week.

On Monday we had a school assembly
and we started off with the Tongan
National anthem and a hiva (a Tongan song).
The Tongan parents were singing  with pride

and the parents felt emotional.
Then, Sofele’s dad, Mr. Fatai said a
prayer for

a blessing to the kids in our school.

Next we played the New Zealand
National anthem and then  two of
the Kia Manawanui came and talked
to us all about Tonga and in the end
Mr.Fatai came and said a pray to end
this assembly.

On Wednesday we had Tongan games
at lunchtime and there were four
different types of Tongan games
and it was fun. Friday was the end the
of the Tongan language week. The classes
were getting ready and it was time for the
assembly. It started with the Tongan
 National anthem and next we sang the
New Zealand National anthem and
Mr. Fatai said a prayer to start.

Next Room 1 and Room 6 sung a
Tongan song and Room 8 showed us
their Tapa posters. We sung the
happy birthday song to two birthday girls.
It was Christine from Rm 6 and
Lily from Rm 6, then we ended
it with a Tongan prayer. At lunchtime
the whole school had a Tongan feast!
I had Pig, potato salad and sapa’sui.

The chocolate cake was delicious!!

because it is important for

disaster to sing and stay calm.

Some people believe in God and

it gives them strength when you

are very sad.

Global Warm.

This is Earth. Earth is  surrounded
by atmosphere.
Atmosphere is made out of
gases like oxygen, carbon dioxide,
methane and many more.
And Earth is a warm planet.
Carbon dioxide is Responsible
for trapping the sun heat on
Earth this is known as Greenhouse
effect.

Recently the level of carbon dioxide
has Increased because of the smoke
coming out of the factory and cars.
More carbon dioxide in the heat
means more absorption of heat.
This will make the Earth  warmer
and warmer. When the Earth is
warmer and warmer There will be
lots of heatwave and there be
wildfires in the jungle and more
carbon dioxide and habitat of
animals will be destroyed.
The glaciers will melt and water
in sea will rise and that it will
 cause a flood. Some of the
smaller islands will get submerged.

To slow global warming  we could grow more trees. Trees will Absorb carbon dioxide and make our earth cooler.

When there is an Earthquake there is loss of Property and life. People
could die or get Injured. And when
the city and the

house is broken it will cost a
lot of,

millions of

dollars to reconstruct people’s

home. People now have to live in

camps for months together and

there are scarcity of food and water

and Life is miserable.
